SAINT PAUL, MN— Today, after Governor Tim Walz announced updated safety guidelines for social gatherings to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Minnesota, Senator Susan Kent released the following statement:
“We have seen an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases over the past couple of weeks. Fortunately, Governor Walz is taking a measured and strategic approach that is based on data and which will ultimately help our businesses and schools stay open,” said Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent. “The updated safety guidelines around social gatherings, bars, and restaurants will not only help us control the spread of COVID-19, it also takes into account our state’s economy and the personal well-being of Minnesotans. It’s up to all of us to follow these safety measures and encourages others to do the same.”
