A bill heard in the Judiciary Committee this week will give Minnesotans a second chance. The bill was a simple technical change that made clear two sections of criminal law were separate and unrelated. This will allow for cleaner background checks, making individuals more employable after a conviction or incarceration, and assist employers in determining whether an individual is employable.
The bill passed the committee and was sent to the Senate floor.
Senate DFLers will continue to look for ways to assist Minnesotans this session by rebuilding trust in our government and working to deliver help and relief to those whenever possible. (SF 104)
