Trump Tariff Policies Have Raised Prices for Consumers, Families and Businesses, and Cost MN Farmers Key Markets for Their Products
SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy (DFL- St. Paul) said the Supreme Court Ruling today striking down much of the costly Trump Tariff policy could be a welcome relief for Minnesota’s economy and for families and businesses that have suffered from many months of uncertainty, higher prices and the loss of markets for hard-hit Minnesota farmers to sell their products.
“With tariffs already costing the average household more than $1,000 over the past year, I am hopeful that this ruling will provide some relief for our economy as well as a check on this President’s power,” said Majority Leader Murphy. “Unfortunately Trump is already doubling down and threatening further tariffs, and more uncertainty as Minnesota’s unwind the mess he has already caused.”
