St. Paul, MN – On Sunday, Senator Aric Putnam (DFL-St. Cloud) voted for Minnesota’s largest investment in transportation in thirty years. The transportation budget addresses the needs for long-awaited, long-term investments in infrastructure across the state, providing ongoing funds for our roads and bridges.
“This transportation bill is going to do a lot of great work for the Greater St. Cloud area,” said Senator Putnam. “I helped secure critical funding St. Cloud projects, including an investment to support the Highway 10 pre-design, fixing the Veterans Bridge, and improving an interchange on University Drive. Transportation is essential to how we all live, and this meaningful and sustained investment in our area will improve lives.”
Senator Putnam authored several provisions in the Transportation budget, including funding $750,000 in infrastructure investments for the Veterans Bridge repairs, $8.5 million for the University Drive project, $6 million for the Highway 10 pre-design. The projects will support the Greater St. Cloud area.
