As more community vaccination sites open throughout the state, Senator Karla Bigham (DFL-Cottage Grove) and Representative Tony Jurgens (R-Cottage Grove) toured the latest vaccine clinic to open in Dakota County, at Pleasant Hill Library in Hastings.
“As our fight against the COVID-19 virus continues, it’s great to see Dakota County continue to expand access to the vaccine and make it easy for residents to sign up and get their shot,” said Senator Bigham. “I encourage any resident of Dakota County who hasn’t gotten their vaccine yet to sign up and get it as soon as possible.”
Dakota County Public Health is partnering with Dakota County Library branch, Pleasant Hill, (1490 South Frontage Road, Hastings, MN) to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment only. The clinic is prioritizing local residents that are at high-risk of getting COVID-19 and those at risk of getting very sick due to age, health conditions, or work environment.
“Dakota County officials have done a wonderful job of making more COVID-19 vaccinations available for those who need them,” Jurgens said. “The vaccination process at the Pleasant Hill library location is smooth and efficient, and will assist countless residents who are seeking the vaccine. As more choose to get vaccinated, I expect the Governor will continue to ease restrictions on businesses, schools, and entertainment.”
