The 2021 legislative session came to a close today with work still left to do and a special session on the horizon.
Following adjournment, Senator Greg Clausen (DFL-Apple Valley) released this statement:
“As we came to the close of the 2021 legislative session, it was disappointing that the work Minnesotans elected us to do was not completed on time. As elected officials, we don’t have the luxury to stop working when we disagree with what is being discussed. We have a job to do on behalf of the people of Minnesota to work together, engage in discussions, and reach a resolution.
“Hopefully when we convene for a special session, we will finish our job by passing a state budget that will allow every Minnesotan across this state to thrive, especially as we transition out of a pandemic.”
