ST. PAUL, Minn. — This month, the League of Minnesota Cities recognized Senator Judy Seeberger (DFL-Afton) as a 2025 “Legislator of Distinction” for her intergovernmental collaboration and commitment to serving local units of government in state policymaking.
The League of Minnesota Cities identifies representatives and senators who prioritize partnerships between the state and cities, and understand and support local initiatives. This session, Senator Seeberger was a strong supporter of a robust infrastructure package, and secured tens of millions of dollars for cities in the east metro, as they continue to deal with PFAS “forever chemical” pollution in the area’s aquifer.
“Legislating and governing require lots of collaboration,” said Senator Seeberger. “Whether it’s transportation funding, flood and disaster relief, infrastructure projects, or PFAS clean-up in our district, I am proud to work with our local leaders towards solutions that provide the best outcomes for our constituents. I am humbled by this recognition, and I will continue to support our local communities as we confront the unique challenges that District 41 faces.”
The League of Minnesota Cities is a membership organization dedicated to promoting excellence in local government. It serves more than 800 member cities across Minnesota by providing advocacy, training, and support on a wide range of policy and governance issues.
