The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) has recognized Senator Kari Dziedzic (DFL-Minneapolis) as a ”2022 Legislator of Distinction” for her work to help cities thrive across the state.
The LMC said Dziedzic worked with city and state officials on efforts to “reach solutions that meet the unique needs of rural, suburban, and urban communities all across Minnesota.” Specifically, the LMC recognized Senator Dziedzic’s legislative efforts to improve Minnesota’s tax system to help cities provide services and expand economic development, and for her push to make housing more accessible and affordable in communities across the state.
“Ensuring Minnesota cities have the tools they need to deliver services to their residents and to improve access to safe, affordable housing have been top legislative priorities for me,” said Sen. Dziedzic. “I’ve relied upon the valuable input of the League of Minnesota Cities to guide my legislative work and to find solutions for both rural and urban communities across the state. My partnership with LMC has been an asset to my work and I’m honored to be recognized for that partnership.”
Sen. Dziedzic has received recognition in the past, including in 2021, by the LMC for her work at the Capitol on behalf of Minnesota cities.
