Senator Kari Dziedzic named to Higher Education Conference Committee

St. Paul, MN – The Senate and House have both passed their higher education omnibus bills and their respective legislative bodies will work to negotiate a final bill for passage. Senator Kari Dziedzic (SD-60-Minneapolis) was named to the conference committee. Higher Ed and Workforce Development Chair, Senator Terri Bonoff, will chair the conference committee for the Senate. The conference committee also includes Senator Kent Eken, Senator Greg Clausen, and Senator Jeremy Miller.

“I’m looking forward to working with my Senate and House colleagues to find a compromise that supports our students without sacrificing quality,” said Senator Dziedzic.

As a member of the conference committee and a senator who represents the University of Minnesota –Minneapolis and Augsburg College, Senator Dziedzic promised to work hard to ensure the final bill prioritizes students. “Higher education in Minnesota should be affordable and accessible so all Minnesota can achieve their highest potential,” Sen.
