St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Karla Bigham (DFL-Cottage Grove) this week participated in a public informational meeting about the 3M settlement.

Senator Karla Bigham stands with Senator Susan Kent and Representative JoAnn Ward at an informational meeting about the 3M settlement.
The meeting, hosted by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Department of Natural Resources, was held at Park High School in Cottage Grove. MPCA and DNR staff gave an overview of the recent settlement with 3M and explained the process by which potential water quality and natural resource projects will be prioritized and selected for funding.
“I was pleased to join my neighbors, numerous local elected officials, and public servants from the PCA and DNR to discuss safe, clean drinking water for east metropolitan communities like Cottage Grove,” said Sen. Bigham. “This is an issue I have been working on for years. I promise that we will do right by the people who have been impacted by drinking water pollution in our area.”
