Senator Latz appointed to the Judiciary and Public Safety Conference Committee

Senator Ron Latz (DFL-St. Louis Park), the DFL lead on the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee, was appointed to serve on the Judiciary and Public Safety Conference Committee.

“I intend to continue my advocacy for police reform, programs to reduce recidivism, and policies that work to address the systemic racism in our systems,” said Sen. Latz. “There are only a few more weeks in the session. My DFL colleagues and I are ready and willing to work night and day for the people of Minnesota to pass reforms such as directing the Department of Public Safety to work with community leaders, local officials, law enforcement associations and police unions to promote more effective models of community policing, a suggestion brought by the Minnesota Business Partnership.”

Senator Ron Latz
Ron Latz represents District 46, which includes portions of Hennepin County in the western Twin Cities metropolitan area.
