Senator Liz Boldon Awarded as Legislator of the Year by Minnesota Society for Respiratory Care

ST. PAUL, Minn. — On Wednesday, February 26, the Minnesota Society for Respiratory Care (MSRC) awarded Senator Liz Boldon (DFL-Rochester) with their 2024 Legislator of the Year Award. MSRC works to support local respiratory therapists and the profession overall.

In their letter of recognition, MSRC noted that Senator Boldon’s, “willingness to connect with respiratory therapists and discuss key issues demonstrates [her] support for healthcare professionals and patient care.” Additionally, her “support of the North Star Promise Act will help expand educational opportunities for future respiratory therapists, ensuring continued access to high quality care and addressing workforce needs.”

“I am incredibly humbled for this recognition from the Minnesota Society for Respiratory Care,” said Senator Boldon. “As a Registered Nurse, having worked side-by-side with Respiratory Therapists for many years, I have deep gratitude and respect for their profession and the care they provide to patients.  Making sure patients have affordable access to the care they need is a top priority of mine, and I always look for ways I can support my fellow healthcare workers. By supporting professionals, we support patients’ recovery – providing better outcomes for everyone.”
