SAINT PAUL, Minn. – By a vote of 34-33, the Minnesota Senate passed the PRO Act (HF 1/SF 1) Saturday morning, codifying the right of Minnesotans to make autonomous decisions over their own bodies when it comes to reproductive healthcare.
Following passage of the bill, Senator Liz Boldon (DFL-Rochester) released this statement:
“Minnesotans want their rights protected, not restricted. Passing the PRO Act was an essential step to ensuring that Minnesotans have the right to access reproductive healthcare. Now, Minnesotans have additional protections as they seek out the healthcare they need in consultation with their own care providers, without politicians telling them what they can or cannot do. I’m proud to vote yes for this bill and will continue to work with my colleagues to advance legislation that improves health outcomes for Minnesotans and ensures that everyone can get the care they need.”
