Governor Tim Walz has unveiled his Minnesota’s COVID-19 Recovery Budget proposal focusing on working families, small businesses and students.
In response, Senator Erin Murphy (DFL-Saint Paul) released the following statement:
“The governor’s budget wisely calls for new revenue, asking the wealthiest among us to pay their fair share,” said Sen. Murphy. “Minnesotans elected us to respond to their needs and it is our duty to work with them to build a bright future where everyone can thrive. We are still in a deadly pandemic with growing income inequality, economic uncertainty, and inequity. The introduction of the governor’s budget is the necessary first step towards making bold investments needed by our families, small businesses, and students.”
