Senator Nick Frentz Secures Funding for Mankato Area Projects in Infrastructure Package

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Over the weekend, the Minnesota Senate passed over $1.2 billion in bonds and $45 million in general fund spending for local infrastructure projects. Today, Senator Nick Frentz (DFL-North Mankato) announced that he successfully pushed for the following projects to be included in the package:

  • $1.265 million – Mankato air traffic control tower
  • $3.087 million – Lafayette’s water treatment plant
  • $6 million – Eagle Lake’s drinking water treatment facility
  • $4 million – New Ulm’s gravity sewer & water main

“This is a huge win for southern Minnesota,” said Senator Frentz. “By investing in infrastructure improvements, we’re giving a boost to local economies, providing good-paying jobs, and making sure municipal governments are meeting the needs of the people. I’m glad we were able to secure these funds, and I’m excited to see these vital improvements come to fruition.”
