Senator Rest appointed to the Taxes Conference Committee

Senator Ann Rest (DFL-New Hope) was appointed to serve on the House and Senate Taxes Conference Committee. Five appointed members from each legislative body will work over the course of the next few weeks to find a compromise on a final budget bill to bring back to the chamber of each legislative body for a final vote.

“I look forward to serving the people of Minnesota in bringing a tax budget to the Senate floor that represents the interests of all,” said Sen. Rest. “We need a robust tax budget that will invest in the future of Minnesota by having funding for education, health care, housing, border-to-border broadband, transportation, and infrastructure. Our tax budget should support the priorities that will help all Minnesotans recover from the pandemic and build a stronger future.”

Ann Rest represents District 43, which includes portions of the western suburbs of Hennepin County in the Twin Cities metro area.
