Senator Sheran to Co-Host Information Session on MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistance

Sheran PortraitMANKATO, Minn. — Senator Kathy Sheran is co-hosting an information session on MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistance from 1:00-3:00pm on Thursday, November 5. The meeting is open to the public, and will focus on the annual health plan selection period and be held at the Open Door Health Center’s Community Room at 309 Holly Ln, Mankato, MN 56001.

If you are a member of MinnesotaCare or Medical Assistance who gets health care through a health plan, each fall you have the chance to choose a new health plan for the next year if more than one plan is available in your county of residence.

The information session will give an overview of the annual health plan selection process and the health plans available in 2016. In many counties, including Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties, there is a change in the type of health plans offered in 2016. Your county of residence determines which health plans are available to enroll in for 2016.

Individuals enrolled in MinnesotaCare or Medical Assistance and providers who work with these individuals are encouraged to attend.

On site interpretation service will be available in Somali.
