Senator Steve Cwodzinski Stands in Solidarity with Student Walkout to Protest Gun Violence

St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Steve Cwodzinski (DFL-Eden Prairie) today participated in a 17-minute walkout organized by students at Eden Prairie High School to protest gun violence and remember the 17 students and teachers killed at a Florida high school shooting one month ago today. Walkouts happened at schools across the country today in advance of the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C. on March 24.

“The groundswell of action and organizing I am seeing among America’s young people on this issue is nothing short of remarkable,” said Sen. Cwodzinski. “I am so very proud to stand in solidarity with our students to prevent gun violence. Now more than ever, it’s time for the adults to listen to what our children are saying.”

Steve Cwodzinski represents District 48 in the southwest Twin Cities metro.
