Senator Tony Lourey Announces Support for Governor Dayton’s Pre-K Funding Request

St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Tony Lourey (DFL-Kerrick) today announced his support for Governor Mark Dayton’s proposal to make permanent a previous one-time appropriation for voluntary pre-Kindergarten. If the Legislature takes no action, significant funding for the Hinckley-Finlayson and East Central school districts will run out.

Lourey. “There has been no bigger champion at the State Capitol for preschool-aged children than Governor Dayton. I thank the Governor for his leadership and stand with him in support of vital pre-K dollars here in my district and throughout our state.”
