Sunday night police were called to a report of a shooting near Roosevelt High School in South Minneapolis shortly after 10:30 pm. Officers arrived to find a vehicle parked on a sidewalk, with two adults inside who had been shot and were deceased.
“I am heartbroken to learn about this senseless, violent incident that occurred in our district this week” said Senator Patricia Torres Ray, DFL-Minneapolis. “My heart goes out to the families that have had their loved ones taken from them. I will continue my hard work in the Legislature to pass much needed, statewide public safety reform to ensure our communities are safe and secure, and also make sure our public safety system, including law enforcement officers, are ready and prepared to protect and serve residents in every neighborhood in our city”
