Sexual Assault Prevention Legislation Laid Over

Legislation that would establish a sexual assault primary prevention program was heard before a Judiciary Committee Subdivision this week. The bill authorizes the commissioner of public safety to award grants to programs that provide sexual assault prevention services. The bill seeks to prevent the perpetration of sexual assault.

After a brief presentation before the subdivision, the legislation was laid over for possible inclusion to the Judiciary Finance Omnibus Bill. (S.F. 1489)
