Legislation that would establish a working group to study the state’s need for a Silver Alert system was signed into law by Governor Dayton this week. Establishing a working group is the first step in developing a system similar to the Amber Alert, but it is intended to aid in the recovery of missing persons who are senior citizens with dementia, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease, or other mental disabilities.
