The Silver Alert System bill calls upon the Commissioner of Public Safety to establish a working group to study the need for a system to aid in the recovery of missing persons who are senior citizens with dementia, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease, or other mental disabilities. If the group finds that a system is needed they are directed to make recommendations to the Legislature.
The legislation passed the Judiciary Committee as amended and was re-referred to State and Local Government Committee. (S.F. 857)
