Today, House and Senate DFL leaders and legislators outlined their economic security agenda to assist Minnesotans during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Many of the proposals are moving forward in the DFL-led House, but are stalled in the Republican-led Senate.
Research has shown that high-speed internet access provides a positive impact for median household income, employment and business growth. One economic consultant found that 23.4% of all new jobs created are directly attributable to broadband. Their conclusion is important when considering 25% of Minnesotans do not have adequate broadband access.
