SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic (DFL-Minneapolis) said today the Senate DFL Majority has passed a budget measure that puts in place long-overdue consumer protections to keep prescription drug costs in check, help students across the state navigate student loan debt, prevent predatory criminals from victimizing Minnesotans, and move the state toward eliminating costs for primary health care.

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Senate passed the Commerce and Consumer Protection Omnibus Budget Friday in a bipartisan vote of 35-32. The bill includes Senator Kelly Morrison’s legislation to establish a Prescription Drug Affordability Board. “This legislation is a critical first step in lowering the cost of prescription drugs for Minnesotans,” said Sen. Morrison.
