Sen. Murphy, Rep. Frazier, and Majority Leader Winkler appointed to Frontline Worker Pay Working Group
Senator Erin Murphy (DFL-Saint Paul) and Representative Cedrick Frazier (DFL-New Hope), co-authors of the Essential Workers Emergency Leave Act, with a panel of legislators that include Majority Leader Representative Ryan Winkler, have been appointed to the Frontline Worker Pay Working Group that will determine the distribution of the $250 million included in the Minnesota state budget dedicated to frontline workers. The funding was made possible by one-time federal funds from the American Rescue Plan.

Governor Walz visited the Minnesota Zoo yesterday, June 3, 2021, to continue his tour highlighting the state’s “Your Shot to Summer” COVID-19 vaccine incentive campaign. The campaign aims to encourage Minnesotans to roll up their sleeves and get their vaccine during the next month. The goal is to reach 70 percent of Minnesotans over the age of 16 to be vaccinated by July 1 by providing rewards for those getting their first dose of the vaccine in June.
