Senator Erin Maye Quade Hails Passage of Bill to Protect Privacy, Election Integrity from ‘Deep Fake’ Manipulations
ST. PAUL, Minn. — On Wednesday, the Minnesota Senate passed legislation to protect Minnesotans from online harassment and maintain the integrity of elections. HF 1370, which passed 64-1, regulates synthetic media, known as “deep fakes,” when used to manipulate the outcome of elections or used to depict sexual content.
