Proposal will progress towards Minnesota’s goal of 100% carbon-free energy by 2040

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Today, the Minnesota Senate passed SF 4784, Senator Nick Frentz’s (DFL – North Mankato) bipartisan Minnesota Energy Infrastructure Permitting Act. The legislation will transform Minnesota’s clean energy permitting process, remove roadblocks to reaching Minnesota’s 100% carbon-free energy by 2040 goal, eliminate redundancies, increase transparency, and make the permitting process consistent and efficient.
