ST. PAUL, Minn. — On Thursday, the Senate voted on a bonding bill to invest in the infrastructure needs of communities across the state. Because a minimum of 41 votes are required to pass bonding bills, this legislation ultimately was blocked by Senate Republicans. ST. PAUL, Minn. — On Tuesday, Senator Heather Gustafson’s (DFL-Vadnais Heights) Universal School Meals Bill (SF 123) successfully passed in the Senate with bipartisan support. This bill will provide school lunch and breakfast to all public and charter K-12 students, regardless of household income. In response, Senator Gustafson released the following statement:
