Sen. Sheran Responds to Blue Cross Blue Shield’s MNsure Departure

Some have recently criticized MNsure in the wake of Blue Cross Blue Shield deciding to no longer participate in the market. Blue Cross Blue Shield has been clear that they are leaving because of instability in the wider healthcare industry, both on and off the MNsure Exchange. That has not stopped certain panicked, partisan voices from using the development to call for MNsure’selimination. These impulses should be resisted.

Sheran Awarded Children’s Health Hero Award from Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota

Senator Kathy Sheran was presented the 2015 Children’s Health Hero Award from Bob Bonar, the CEO of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The award recognizes Sen. Sheran’s work and advocacy on behalf of children over her three terms in the Minnesota Senate. Also joining in the presentation was Kelly Wolfe, Public Policy Director for Children’s Hospitals.
