Transportation Town Hall Meeting

State Senator Jim Carlson (DFL-Eagan and Burnsville) will co-host a transportation-themed town hall meeting with State Representative Sandra Masin (DFL-Eagan). Special guests will include Chair of the Metropolitan Council, Adam Duininck; Sean Rahn, Assistant Commissioner with the Minnesota Department of Transportation; and Metropolitan Council Member, Steven T. Chávez (District 15).

“Many people have called the 2015 Legislative Session the ‘Transportation Session’ and there has been much discussion around what we need to do to address the growing needs of our transportation network,” said Sen. Carlson. “As a member of the Senate Transportation and Public Safety Committee, I am committed to comprehensive solutions to these challenges. This town hall is a great opportunity for Rep. Masin and myself to listen to constituents about the needs in our area and to hear from Minnesota’s transportation officials.”

Funding for Minnesota’s transportation network has been one of the major issues addressed during the 2015 Legislative Session. The Senate and Governor Dayton have each proposed similar funding packages for Minnesota’s transportation network, while the House has announced a different proposal.

The town hall meeting will be held on Saturday, March 28.
