Mothers and families dominated the DFL stage this week. In lieu of Mother’s Day, Women’s Health Week, and the recent news over the SCOTUS draft opinion leak, we kept our focus on reproductive rights, accessibility, and Minnesota families. Our caucus stood in solidarity with Minnesotans and member allies to advocate tirelessly for continued reproductive access and resources.
We recognized the number of contributions made by nurses and other healthcare workers in honor of several weekly awareness campaigns that aim to highlight the importance of these professions and the significant impact they make on our health and well-being.
Tribal members across eleven sovereign nations visited the Capitol to discuss top priority issues facing American Indian communities, and to rejoice us in a traditional drum group performance and great conversations to increase cultural awareness across our caucus.
As we head into the final week of session, we plan to end on a strong note of advocacy!
