Governor updates supplemental budget
With the latest budget forecast showing an increase in Minnesota’s budget surplus, Governor Walz is prioritizing improving economic stability for Minnesota’s families in his updated supplemental budget announced Thursday. He is proposing providing up to $1,000 to Minnesota families in the form of checks ($500 for single tax filers; $1,000 for married couples) which would provide $2 billion in checks to Minnesotans. This is in addition to frontline worker bonus pay and additional tax cuts that were part of his initial budget. Read more >>
